How about Mom reading the Seven Last Years aloud to all of us? That seems like ages ago, but it made such an impression on me that I went out and bought the book again and have reread it a dozen times. Getting ready to start it again, as a matter of fact...
Oh, here's another one...remember sneaking downstairs on Saturdays to watch cartoons and some unlucky fool being elected to go close Mom's bedroom door so she wouldn't hear the TV? LOL!
One time that really brings a smile to my face was being with Dawn and little Shauntel at Cannon Park on an Autumn day. Shauntel was maybe 3 or 4 years old and we were playing a game of catching the falling leaves as the wind blew them from the trees. The colors were so beautiful - reds, oranges and yellows - and they were huge maple leaves. I remember that in the end, we each picked a few extra pretty leaves and made a bouquet of them for Mom.

Hope we all remember and live by what God taught us through our mom. God bless her for all she gave to us whether she knew it or not!
